Baron Engine Developments was established in 1979, and operates continuously till present day. As the name suggests, it was primarily a karting engine rebuilding and development repair business, that sold racing consumables. The reputation of our engines performance, reliability, and legal within the stringent rules grew steadily and considerably over time, eventually becoming one of Australia’s leading engine service.

After several years, as the business continued to grow, Baron Engine Developments also became a chassis reseller; primarily only selling well established and reputable brands of racing chassis that the racing squad would use to win races with Baron Engines.  Racing the best Australian chassis for many years, Baron Engines changed to the Italian DAP chassis, and became the Victoria distributor for this chassis, and raced and sold this brand for 10 successful years.

Then, what would prove to be one of the biggest turning points for Baron Engines, we changed to the world renowned Tony Kart chassis, and again raced these chassis with great success, and again becoming the Victorian Distributor for Tony Kart.

After eleven great years of this, Baron Engines had the opportunity and privilege to become the Tony Kart Importer for Australia, becoming: Tony Kart Australia / Baron Engines.

​

Tony Kart Australia now has an extensive dealer network covering all areas of Australia to sell and support the product. All of our dealers are specially picked, and we believe we have the best people selling this very special product.

Over the years, dealing directly with the Tony Kart factory, we have never lost sight of the fact that to get respect you must first earn respect, and this has led to a very good relationship with the Tony Kart company (OTK Kart Group). At Tony Kart Australia, we strive to have the best technical service available to our customers, and help the loyal Green army to the best possible outcome for their racing endeavours.
