Tony Kart Developement Squad

Tony Kart Australia is pleased to introduce the 4 junior drivers to be part of the development squad. In no particular order the drivers are:

Rhett Noonan – Junior Clubman WA
Aidan Smith – Junior Clubman QLD
James Hughes – Junior National Light VIC
Brandon Doolan – Junior National Light QLD

These 4 drivers, through a selection process of resume and discussions with outside observers have been selected as a group that have had some success in the racing classes already, without perhaps standing on the highest step of the podium at championship level, but with the right guidance can improve their standing in 2009.

With the many applications we had for this squad, we quickly decided that the drivers should be chosen among various attributes and the desire to improve from a relatively good performance level to a higher and more consistent level of performance with the guidance from within the Tony Kart Australia team. This was the original aim for this squad. This squad will be joined by some senior drivers after requests for this as well.

While these squad drivers are not strictly part of the official race team, they are expected to improve to a level where a championship win is possible.

Tony Kart Australia wish them well and we are pleased to have them race along side us & to learn from us.

Tony Kart Australia would like to thank all the many applicants for their resumes and encourage them and others to apply again next year.

We still have a few places left for the Rotax Pro Tour and the Rotax Nationals for 2009, which is a separate team to the Tony Kart Australia Development Squad.
